About Calligaris
In 1923 Antonio Calligaris started his small artisanal business by producing the 'Marocca' chair, a typical model of the Manzano area in Friuli. It is characterised by a sturdy wooden frame, the hand-woven rush seat, and the slightly curved legs.
Throughout the 90’s the Calligaris furniture range expanded its range with complete furnishing solutions including: chairs, tables, bar stools and sideboards. Wood was no longer the only material used and the company began to work in metal, plastic, leather, and glass. Calligaris has succeeded in unifying a artisanal tradition that is synonymous with quality, care and Italian style, on the one hand, and the adoption of industrial techniques that has made it a leader in the furniture industry.
