What is a divan bed with an open coil mattress?

A divan bed with an open coil mattress is a set combining an upholstered divan base with a mattress containing interconnected springs. Comfort layers sit above the spring system to provide cushioning, with materials and firmness varying between models.

What is the difference between open coil and pocket sprung mattresses?

The difference between open coil and pocket sprung mattresses is how their springs are arranged. Open coil mattresses use connected springs that work together, while pocket sprung mattresses contain individually encased springs that can respond more independently to pressure.

Is an open coil mattress the same as a sprung mattress?

An open coil mattress is one type of sprung mattress. “Sprung” is a broader term that also includes pocket sprung and other spring constructions. Check the specific spring system when comparing mattresses, as their feel and response can differ.

From order to delivery, everything was seamless. I received clear updates throughout, and the delivery team assembled the furniture and took all packaging away. I've trusted Fishpools for over 50 years - always reliable. One very happy customer!

Our 2-hour delivery slot was confirmed by 4 pm the day before, followed by a call when the truck was just 30 minutes away. The fitters were friendly, professional, and efficient - even laying down a runner to protect our hall floor. They made sure I was happy before signing and even thanked me for the tea! Highly recommend Fishpools.
