Charingworth is a premium cutlery brand focused on combining practical everyday use with considered design and quality materials. Its collections are designed by industrial designer William Welch and include complete dining sets as well as coordinating individual pieces.

Charingworth cutlery is made from stainless steel, with the brand specifying 18/0 stainless steel for its cutlery. Fishpools' Santol 42-piece collection, for example, is manufactured from 18/0 stainless steel with a mirror-polished finish.

18/0 stainless steel generally means the steel contains approximately 18% chromium and little or no nickel. The chromium contributes to corrosion resistance by forming a protective layer on the surface of the steel.
