The Kazak design has a rich heritage with origins in the old Caucasioin rugs heralding from the area surrounding Caucasus in Russia. Today the Kazak design is mainly made by the Hazara Tribes of Afghanistan. Kazak rug weavers are faithful in using traditional bold colour and design mainly including both small and large geometrical motifs. The designs are predominantly bold and typically include a mixture of diamond and circle shapes as well as representations of animals, people and nature. The medallion layout is also popular using various scales. With wool yarns all hand spun and dyed using only natural dyes, this dramatic and vibrant rug will add an instant abundance of quality and traditional luxury to any room. Once dyed and hand knotted, this rug has been finished in Pakistan using craftsmanship which has been passed down through generations of experts.
