Like it or not, it’s hard to escape the influence of trends on our lives. Most of the things designed for our homes will have been inspired by a wider trend. Some are short lived whilst others are here for the long term like our ‘Nordic’ style.

In these unprecedented times, we like to think ‘Positive’ with confident colour and flair. But if keeping calm is more your thing, our ‘New Minimal’ approach softens and soothes your soul. The sophisticated charm of ‘Refined’ endures, whilst ‘Gorge’ encourages us to be overblown, outrageous, and overdone! Which direction will you choose?

Positive interior trends

Inspired by Mary Quant at the V&A, we’re thinking positively with bold furniture and accessories in juicy colours. Take a leaf out of Ru Paul’s book – after all, it takes a lot of positive thinking to win Drag Race! Or just get a pair of chequered shoes and a wig for your pooch. So, to quote Bing Crosby: “you’ve got to accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative.”

New Minimal

New Minimal interior trends

If your taste is for the simple life our ‘New Minimal’ style is all about clean lines, soft textures and cool colours without being left feeling stark and cold. Start by eliminating all unnecessary clutter and choose a colour palette of muted and pastel tones like Dulux’s colour of the year Tranquil Dawn.

Introduce natural materials and play with layering different textures in similar tones. Invest in some stylish storage to keep your minimal space clutter free and luxuriate in effortless relaxing style.

Nordic interior trends

Early predictions of the ‘Nordic’ trend have come to fruition with this easy calming style proving enduringly popular. Characterised by simplicity and functionality, choose natural woods, worn leathers, monochrome art, layered textures and tactile ceramics. We’ve seen a move away from traditional Scandi white and grey interiors towards a warmer earthy colour palette with muted natural tones.

Refined interior trends

Luxury in 2020 will have a relaxed yet refined feel. Fabrics and furniture ooze with genteel elegance and understated decadence. Sophisticated finishes include marble, velvet, mirror and glass. Colours are soft gold, dusty pink, blush and bronze. Highlights include subtle touches of leopard print, crystal, stainless steel and this season’s must have – fabulous fringing. Wallpapers will add a soft sheen and silky rugs and lush cushions complete the ambience.

Gorge interior trends

Our ‘Gorge’ trend is the personification of decadence. The antidote to minimalist living, overload your home with luscious shapes, exotic colours and sensory pleasures. Go for gold, gigantic wall murals and deep pile rugs. Choose cutlery, mirrors & accessories with a surfeit of decoration. More is more. Go on – indulge in a little exhibitionist gluttony – you’re worth it.
