Select Your Fabric

Your fabric selection, more than anything, will influence the overall finish of your room. There are some great readymade styles out there, like our Kylie Minogue collection, but there’s also a huge choice of fabrics for Made to Measure curtains. Ask for samples of some of your favourites so you can compare them to your existing decor as this will make it easier to see what works and what doesn’t.

Top Tip: Since you’re selecting from fabrics rather than actual curtains, it’s often possible to purchase extra if you want to get cushions or other furnishings to match, enabling a better flow throughout your room.

Choose a Style

Once you’ve chosen a fabric, you’ll also need to choose a curtain style. From contemporary eyelet to traditional pleats, there’s more choice than some might realise. Take a look at our Curtains and Blinds Buying Guide to find more information on the styles we provide. Don’t forget to also take a look at our range of tracks, poles and accessories to perfectly compliment your new curtains.

Hang Them Right

Once you’ve chosen your curtains, it’s always worth checking you’ve got the correct measurements before going ahead with your order. We offer a comprehensive fitting and measuring service for peace of mind, however if you’d rather do it yourself or would like an idea of size before you begin your search, our Guide contains some tips and instructions to help. The basics to remember are not to crowd the window from the top or side to allow in as much light as possible and, if practical, a longer length will add height to your room.

We’d love to see how your curtains complete your room, so make sure to tag us in your photos @FishpoolsUK.
