Not for the fainthearted, the Spring/Summer 2017 catwalks included lots of vibrant clashing colours. Pink fought yellow, blue wrestled with orange and purple came to blows with red in a glorious colour conflict.
The more unorthodox the combination, the better. Johnny Coca at Mulberry umpired about between a purple skirt, an ochre shirt and a pair of spearmint green boots. Balenciaga fused hot fuchsia and violet, finished off with sky blue gloves. Spearmint appeared again at Celine, this time brawling with mulberry pleats and lipstick red accessories.
We don’t like to boast, but we think we’re bang on trend with our new season colour clash upholstery collection. Laid-back comfortable sofas and casual arm chairs are available in a great range of vibrant brushed cottons, velvets & linens. Mix and match to your hearts content with endless colour combinations and as many clashing scatter cushions as you like.
Here we’ve paired our relaxed Portobello sofa in cobalt blue with our Bermondsey wing chair in brilliant orange and finished off with our primrose yellow Flea Market Pouffe and a selection of vivid scatter cushions. Throw in the block colour Blox Multi Rug and the ultra hip Trix Floor lamp and you’re good to go.
Or tone it down a little with the sprawling Camden button back sofa in sea salt grey with bohemian print scatter cushions. A pair of co-ordinating Rathbone chairs and our Nevada nest of tables just add to the vintage vibe.
So go all out with a flamboyant colour clash and bring some joy to your home.
