Last weekend, 10 members of the Fishpools’ team took part the in the Teens Unite ‘It’s a Knock Out’ Challenge, to raise money for teenagers whose lives have been affected by life-limiting illnesses. Competing against nine other teams they battled their way through a giant inflatable assault course to secure a very respectable second place.
Now in its third year, the ‘It’s a Knockout’ challenge brings together teams of friends, families and colleagues from around the local Broxbourne area, who compete against each other in order to raise money for a very worthy cause.
As well as the main competition the day also plays host to various other fun family activities. Highlights included a BBQ, face painting and a bouncy castle, along with a variety of stalls manned by local businesses whose takings contributed to the total amount raised.
Among the ‘It’s a Knockout’ team were Fishpools’ Alice, George and Clare who had raised a whopping £1,700 for Teens Unite a couple of weeks ago when they took part in the 10K London Run.
