 “I feel I must write to you to express my delight at “finding” Fishpools. I must add that this is the first occasion that I have taken such action. I am what can be called euphemistically a senior OAP and as such my wife and I were devotees of John Lewis. Despite being recommended to visit Fishpools by our next door neighbour our loyalty to John Lewis pertained. However, I recently acquired some home furnishings and went to J.L’s at Westfield East at Stratford. I then “bit the bullet” and visited Fishpools. All I can say is I wish I had found your store much sooner. Everything about my experience at your store, and it was an experience, could not have been faulted. I have been back on two further occasions during the last two months and it has been a delight. I have now visited the ground and first floors, the picture gallery, the Budget Building and the Cafeteria. The range of products were outstanding, displayed in a manner which encouraged you to walk around, and there was a good ambience about the whole store. As far as the staff are concerned, from those in the car parking, to the sales persons with whom I came into contact, to the cafeteria staff, and even the delivery men, oh yes I have made some purchases, they were all superb. Certainly personnel I would appreciate having on my staff. Because of my age I don’t expect to be buying much more furnishings, but I will certainly revisit your store for the “experience”, and who knows I may well be tempted. On a more pragmatic note I have already articulated my experiences to three of my younger friends, two of whom have visited my home and liked my purchases. I know that I do not have to tell you, but you and your staff run an excellent store, long may it continue.

On Sunday last, my husband and I came to Waltham X with the view of buying some artwork, a tall lady with blonde hair was very helpful and took all our details (unfortunately I did not note her name) and said that Lisa would call me the following day, which she did and was able to finalise my order of Laura Wallace Artwork. The following day she had called again to clarify the order which is being commissioned to ensure that all the details were correct, she was most helpful and obliging. In the past we had bought a lot from your store which we find amazing and have told many of our friends who have since bought. However upon visiting one of our friends, who we recommended to you, who had bought some Laura Wallace artwork, this prompted us to return to your store and hence commission some artwork ourselves.The reason for this email is to commend your staff, especially Lisa who has been extremely helpful and ensuring that our purchase has been a pleasant one.

The 3 seater sofa was so large that it could not be made to go through the back door and into our lounge. We’ve made the National Press....

 The Daily Mail’s Richard Littlejohn recently bought a bed from us and was kind enough to write about us in his column on the 25th February 2011.

The knowledgeable salesman couldn’t have been more helpful, taking great trouble to explain the pros and cons of different designs. The bed was delivered direct from the factory, ahead of schedule, and assembled by three courteous and efficient young men from the manufacturers, Harrison Spinks, of Leeds. They even wore white gloves. This column is quick to dish out the odd kicking, so on this occasion it’s only right that I give credit where it’s due.”…..
