Ercol
One of the true innovators in the furniture world, Ercol has for years been setting the standard for craftsmanship with wood. Ercol was founded in the 1920s by Lucian Ercolani, who was one of the first furniture designers to perfect a method by which wood could be steam-bended in large quantities.
The Ercol technique also allowed him to work extensively with elm - a wood considered too difficult to work with by furniture makers of the day. Innovation in design are the most distinguishing features of Ercol furniture, and the privately run factory still manufactures the highest quality furniture.
Ercol creates a range of sofas, chairs and occasional furniture that can suit any form of interior design. Ercol also offers an upholstery service that complements its wooden furniture frames, which were built to last. The upholstery cushions and dining chair seats have been designed so they can be easily re-upholstered with Ercol's large range of fabrics and designs.
